Release 2.7.2.0

Not liking the latest PLOG format where coloured headings have appeared in the frequencies list to indicate different stations or types of frequencies. This makes the list a lot longer than in the previous releases and in any event, I don't feel that it makes for quick identification. On previous releases I always found the list of frequencies to be comprehensive and to highlight the ones I intended using, I simply pencilled in a chevron ">" in the margin.

Now, although I can chose what is included in the list, I can't choose to omit the headings.

I would like to see either an option to leave out the headings, or better still, to be able to select each individual line (including headings) for omission to the printout.

I know I can print 2 pages on one and alter orientation, but this makes the font smaller and not as easy to read and having used SD very happily for the last 2 years, this latest release seems to have introduced a 'fix' to something that IMHO didn't need fixing.

First post here...

Tim made some changes to the frequency section of the PLOG that were requested elsewhere, including adding the listening squawks. Thanks for doing that.

I too am finding all the categories a bit much. On my home brewed spreadsheets (pre SkyDemon), I listed the frequencies in order of expected use, working my way down the list in the cockpit. I don't think the new coloured headings add any value to the list, they are making it harder to find what I need at a glance.

Also, I like printing off the PLOG for A5 use on a kneeboard. A little spare space on the PLOG is good for writing down clearances and notes. Now, there's no spare space and the frequency list is so long that I can't (often) print the whole lot on one A5 sheet.

I'd also appreciate removal of the headings.

I can't see the headings being removed, at least nothing that simple. They were introduced for a very good reason and response to them has been overwhelmingly positive. They make it easier to quickly locate a frequency, and they remove a column which made the PLOG hard to read when space was tight. If after people have had time to get used to the chance they still see it as a problem, we would have to look at introducing an option to get rid of the headings, but it's likely we wouldn't be able to reintroduce the column that was removed at the same time.

You are aware that you can jot down such things from within SD by going to the Scratchpad. It is located under the main menu when you're flying on the iPad version. Just select it and you can write with your finger right on the screen. Very handy.

For those with the same concern, I have found a solution by selecting the 'Save HTML' button in Print Centre. Then opening the HTML file in my browser, selecting print preview, landscape orientation and 'scale to fit' at 85%. This gives a printout very similar to how it used to look and fits all of the frequencies on the one page.

I am happy with this approach
